Second batch Spiritual Exercises

The 2nd batch of retreatants composed of 14 perpetually professed Sisters and 7 Juniors, had meaningfully completed the Spiritual Exercises last November 9 to 16, 2007 at the Carmelite Missionaries Center of Spirituality in Tagaytay City under the untiring animation of Sr. Marta Finotelli, Superior General, and patient assistance of Sr. Purissima Tanedo, Secretary General, as translator.

This Spiritual Exercises not only brought us back to the awareness of our basic Christian calling, but it also deepen our religious commitment as Pastorelle Sisters in the world today. We were led to anchor ourselves to the real sense of our life as we got in touch of the abundant love of God in our personal history. We thank the Lord for this grace to renew our wholehearted response to His personal love for each of us. We continue to entrust ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit that we may be strengthened in our daily struggles to combat the lures of the adversary and strive to trod the path of holiness until Christ is formed in us. With renewed zeal and enthusiasm we commit ourselves anew to the Blessed Trinity, that with God’s grace we may be able to respond courageously to all the challenges awaiting us in our respective communities and in our ministry of pastoral care.

Our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all of you, Sisters, who have offered prayers and sacrifices to make this Spiritual Exercises fruitful and meaningful. United in the spirit of fraternal love, may Jesus Good Shepherd our model and faithful companion in the journey, continue to lead us to the spring of life and bring into completion what He has started in each of us.
