Philippine - Saipan Province Third batch Spiritual Exercises |

“So it is with the word that goes from my mouth, it does not return to me unfulfilled or before having carried out my good pleasure and having achieved that it was sent to do.” (Is 55:11) |

This text from Isaiah which opened the First Session of our 7-day Spiritual Exercises was fulfilled in each of us 3rd batch participants in varied ways and degrees. The whole journey of these days, which has as its point of departure the greatness of God’s love, touched the very depth of our being in relation to our Triune God, our own very selves and others. The revelation that comes from the loving gaze of a God, in whose image we are created, enabled us to see clearly the mercy extended to us even from the very moment we fall. |

The Word of God we have contemplated each day moved us to a greater faith and love thus we hope that this deep encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd, the source of our life, may truly renew our pastoral care as the aim of the Canonical Visit spelled out for us. |

At the concluding session, Sr. Marta, who guided us throughout this spiritual journey, left to us a great challenge which hopefully each one of us took to heart as we left the beauty and tranquility of OSB Retreat House, Tagaytay: that the fruitfulness of this 7-day Spiritual Exercises will only happen as soon as we begin the spiritual exercises in daily life. |
