72^nd foundation anniversary

The Philippine-Australia-Saipan Province celebrated with joy and gratitude the 72^nd foundation anniversary of our congregation, on 7 October 2010. The sisters from the Cavite and Quezon City areas gathered together to celebrate the thanksgiving mass presided by the priest-collaborator of the Sisters of the Juniorate Community, Rev. Fr. Geoffrey E. Ebalobo.

In his homily Fr. Geoffrey elaborated the goodness, generosity and compassion of God to His children who come to Him in deep faith and trust. He said, the Lord always gives to His children whatever is best for them. We are in turned called to be trustful and faithful like Mary, who in spite of uncertainties in life holds on to the promise of God with her Fiat.

As a testimony, he narrated how he was able to have the Pastorelle Sisters worked in his parish. When he wrote a letter to the Provincial Superior requesting for one Pastorelle to work with him, five were sent to his parish though on a part time basis. He is happy that according to the feedbacks he receives, the presence of the Sisters is God’s gracious presence among his parishioners.

Their experience of working and staying together inspire the people to be more dedicated and committed in their Christian duty and responsibility. Moreover, among the graces he prayed for us for our 72^nd anniversary is the increase of vocation who will be willing to follow the footsteps of the Good Shepherd.
