A Saturday afternoon

with Pauline Cooperators in Bundoora - Australia

A small group of Pauline Cooperators gathered at Bundoora on Saturday 29 March 2008 for a prayer afternoon organized by the formation committee which is made up of Sr. Shamim fsp, Sr. Rita sjbp, and Paul & Virginia Gori.

The theme for the gathering was “Continuing our Easter journey” using the Gospel narrative of the road to Emmaus, Luke 24:13-35.

The program included a reflection on the Gospel by Sr. Shamim, time for personal reflection, sharing in small groups, and a paraliturgy to conclude the afternoon together.

Participants were visibly touched by the sharing of one another’s faith-story, and grateful for the support and encouragement received through it.

The presence of Sr. Anna Genovese, our new local Superior, was much appreciated by all.

The Committee has organized three other events for the Cooperators and Friends this year:  the celebration of the feast of Jesus Good Shepherd on 13th April; a retreat day on St. Paul on 23rd August; and the celebration of the life of Blessed James Alberione on 23 November.
