Adelaide Remembering Blessed James Alberione |
On 26 November, 37th anniversary of the death of Blessed James Alberione, the parish community of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Payneham, hosted a very lively Eucharistic celebration to mark the occasion. Principal celebrant was Fr. Allan Winter, parish priest of Payneham, who is a great admirer and devotee of Fr. Alberione. It is through his initiative that every year the feast is attracting more people and Fr. Alberione and the mission of the Pauline Family is made better known. |
Present were the Daughters of St. Paul who have a community and a bookshop in Adelaide, and also a large number of parishioners from St. Francis of Assisi parish, Newton (Adelaide) where Sr. Estelita Manabo works in collaboration with the Capuchin Fathers. The presence of the Pauline Cooperators from Adelaide made the occasion all the more special. During the Eucharistic celebration, they renewed their commitment to live and to give Jesus to the world.
One of the highlights of the evening was the lighting of ten candles by ten young people at the beginning of the Eucharist to symbolise the Institutes of the Pauline Family. |
