The Pauline Family in Melbourne honours its patron

saints Peter and Paul

The celebration of the solemnity of our patron saints Peter and Paul as a Pauline Family in Melbourne is a tradition that we cherish and wish to uphold for generations to come.

On Sunday 26 June 2011, members of the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master and Pastorelle Sisters gathered together with the Daughters of St Paul in East Hawthorn for the Eucharistic Hour beautifully prepared by Sr Anna fsp.

This year, the Pastorelle Sisters were especially remembered in view of their 8th General Chapter taking place in Rome from June 29 to July 16. We prayed that through the intercession of these two great apostles and saints, Peter and Paul, we may continue to model our lives on their example of total commitment to Christ, Master and Shepherd, and wholehearted compassionate care of his flock.

The prayer was followed by lively moments of exchange of news and events in the life of the different Pauline communities around Australia and beyond.

The group photo is a testimony of the universality of the Pauline Family in Melbourne. As well as from Australia, Sisters originally come from Italy, Japan, Philippines and Malta.
