Taiwan: Solemnity of Jesus Divine Master

“Jesus the Teacher,

the Word of God to all”

This is the theme of this year’s celebration of the Feast of the Divine Master. Upon the initiative and effort of the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master, we members the Pauline Family here in Taiwan gathered together for the Eucharistic celebration at the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master’s main house in Hsinchuang.

Rev. Fr. Augustine Tseng SJ, Director of the Jesuit School of Theology, presided over the Eucharistic celebration. In his homily, he stressed the relationship and connection of the Teacher and his students: what we do and say, reflect who our teacher is. It is therefore a great challenge for us, to do and say what we learned from our Teacher because what people see from us manifests who is our Teacher. The student is the reflection of her / his Teacher.

It was an appropriate reminder for each Pauline that we are called to learn from the school of Jesus Master and Shepherd and live as He lived.

The occasion was a good opportunity among us members of the Pauline Family here in Taiwan to share with one another and to grow in reciprocal knowledge.
